The human form is my primary subject: portrait, torso and full figure. All works are unique. I work with terra cotta and stoneware, paperclay, stains, slips and glazes, often using multiple firings, including pit firing.
Raw fired clay is a preferred surface, but I also experiment with a variety of post-firing surface treatments, such as concrete "washes," paint, smoke, and wax.
